Tried to uninstall Adobe Reader 6.0, but got the same error message, "Error 1324. The path Program Files or the volume is invalid. Please enter it again." So it looks like something may be wrong with the path or volume, which puts me in yet another area of uncertainty! How would I fix the path or volume?

The second time, around March 2000, all that was needed was to fill in a form at Adobe.com and then download the Reader installables for each platform you distribute to. I have no experience of current proactices, but without doubt the answer is on the adobe.com site for Acrobat Reader.

the Acrobat Reader folder were icons that looked like preference icons. Should those icons be placed in the Preference folder. Or did Adobe place them in the Acrobat Reader folder because they belong there. Yes, they belong there. The purpose of an installer is to put items where they belong.

Downloaded AdbeRdr60_enu_full.exe, from Adobe's site, but when I try to install it, taking the defaults all the way I get: Error 1324. Path Program Files or the volume is invalid.. Yet in Windows Explorer I can see C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\, which is where my current version (AcroRd32.exe) resides!
